What is MDPT?
MDPT, also called 3’, 4’ Methylenedioxy-N-tert-butylcathinone, D-Tertylone and MDPT(tBuONE) is a stimulant of the substituted cathinone variety. It’s chemical formula is C14H19NO3 • HCl. It is a functional analogue of 3,4-Methylenedioxy Pyrovalerone, 3,4-Methylenedioxy Pyrovalerone (hydrochloride) and Methylone (hydrochloride). It acts as an NDRA, a norepinephrine and dopamine releasing agent. It is considered an ineffective serotonin releasing agent, but full toxicological and pharmacological studies have not yet been published for this chemical.
Does MDPT have dangerous side effects?
MDPT is a powerful stimulant that has been compared to amphetamines and cocaine. Its primary effects are thought to last some 3-4 hours, and most likely would include high pulse rate, high blood pressure and mood elevation. If it is an analogue to Pyrovalerone, it is likely to cause panic attacks among a small group of intolerant users. Anecdotal accounts have noted difficulty sleeping and rapid cravings for re-administration. Effects are thought to be similar whether smoked, insufflated or injected.
Is MDPT legal where I live?
MDPT is not known to be a controlled substance in any major jurisdiction. It is fairly new on the market, and has not yet attracted a great deal of attention. However, it may well fall under the ‘blanket bans’ some countries like the US and UK have enacted against analogues of illegal or controlled substances.
It is at all times the customer’s responsibility to fully understand the laws and regulations of their country. You are responsible for ensuring that your order is fully compliant, and bear the risks of failing to do so. DoctorChemistry does not and cannot undertake to do this for you.
MDPT is a research chemical, and is sold only in the context of in vitro research or as a comparison sample. It should not be allowed into the hands of untrained personnel.
