5- MAPB has the chemical formula C12H15NO, and a nominal mass of 189.25. It is also called 1-(benzofuran-5-yl)-N-methylpropan-2-amine. It is closely related to 5-APB in terms of structure, and in its effects.

5-MAPB is a fairly new addition to the research chemical line-up, and not a great deal of study has so far been done or published. Whet data we do have for it suggests that it is closely analogous to many similar chemicals in the benzofuran family, particularly 5-APB. More investigations are currently ongoing, but detailed reports have not yet been made.

 

Special Characteristics of 5-MAPB:

Whilst no firm data about its bioavailability, toxicity or effects are available, it is a high potency research chemical, and not suitable for human consumption. It is sold for research and forensic use in a laboratory environment only.

Legal Status:5-MAPB has been banned in China on October 1th 2015.
